I have a Maci Mini M1 that updated to 12.0.1 this morning. During the upgrade it started encountering video issues (screen went blank, fuzzy, intermitted noise/snow. Now that the upgrade is complete, it randomly looses video and the screen also gets choppy and distorted.
it's worth noting this device had display issues out of the box but seemed to be rectified by the first update after purchase.

Problem solved
I picked the Mini up from Apple last night. As soon as I hooked it up the problems started again. Pink pixels, flashing screen, distorted screen, etc. The monitor works fine on my old (2012) mini as well as my Dell laptop. I tried it with one of my other work monitors and all was well. After hours of swapping monitors, cables etc I checked the refresh rate. It turns out 12.0.1 bumped it to 75. My other monitors and the old mini all ran at 60. Set it to 60 and everything is happy.

I opened a case with support and took it to the local Apple store. And of course it didn’t do it there. But we noticed some other odd things ( missing files, a weird error message when opening preferences) that led them to believe it’s a firmware issue. They had me leave it for further testing.
I was using known good cables that work on my vintage Mac Mini as well as my work Win 10 machines without issue. As the problem popped up during and after the 12.0.1 upgrade I think that's where the issue lies.
Update:
Just recieved a call from Apple and they are stating it is hardware related and they are replacing the Logic Board and IO board. Parts had to be ordered so I'm looking at 3-5 days before repairs are complete.

Yes that, but also what display and how is it connected to the Mac Mini?
It’s a Scepter F27 monitor connected via HDMI.
I know you can't at the moment, but I would recommennd trying a better quality Premium Certified HDMI cable.
FWIW, cable should be 5’ or less.
Wow' sorry to hear that. Let's hope that totally fixes the issue.
I'll report back once its back and up and running. But I felt it was a hardware issue all along so I think we're on the right track.
