Out of Date Apple ID and password

My new IPad device is asking me for a password to sign into an out of date Apple ID. I have used my password and current Apple ID but it continues to insist on me also signing in with old ID .

What should I do?

The iPad is wanting the Apple ID and Password used when setting up the device. Without those details, you will not be able to use the device. We can't help and Apple will not unless you can produce the original receipt, clearly showing the serial number. That said, the Apple ID is usually an email address and this link may help you remember the password...
