no longer receiving power from monitor over TB3?

I've got a Philips 279P1 external display connected by an Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable to my MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020). The display acts as a hub for several USB ports, and I've also plugged Ethernet into it—it then passes the internet connection along the TB3 cable back to the Mac, so I don't have to connect to wifi.

Until this morning, it also passed power along the TB3 cable. What happened this morning was that I upgraded to Monterey (12.0.1). Since then I'm not getting power over the cable. I just realized it when the battery ran down over the course of the day. I've restarted, reconnected, etc.

My question is just: a known issue? Has anyone else had this issue with an external display with Monterey? And I guess: any fix?

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

Have you reset both?

Oh, wait there is no SMC / NVRAM in the M1...

The equivalent to the SMC gets refreshed after every restart... So:

QUOTE: "reset by shutting down the computer and leaving it turned off for at least 30 seconds before turning it on again... "

I would unplug everything before turning it on again...
