iOS 15.1 and overheating issue

Hello! I’ve had this phone since June and I immediately noticed there was a overheating issue when I ran bigger/heavier apps so I just stopped using them and only opened them on my iPad where there was no issue whatsoever. But yesterday I was on a WhatsApp call for like 10 minutes and my phone was pretty much burning hot like never before. I had a few other apps open so I closed them all but the temperature didn’t get any better. Went online to see how I could fix it and ended up resetting all the phones settings.

Temperature went down (finished WhatsApp call), let it sit for awhile then picked it back up (installed iOS 15.1) to put my wallpaper back on and stuff, and noticed my Lock Screen icons (flashlight and camera) were significantly smaller, so were WhatsApp contact pictures and names. Even my keyboard letters look smaller and I’ve tried display > text size but everything seems the same.. I’ve looked at a bunch of tutorials but they all tell me to do the same thing and this is really bothering me because I feel like I have to squint at everything I’m reading and if I try to make the text size bigger then it feels like too much - there’s no in between like before. Does anyone know any way to fix this or is it just a bug?

Thank you for taking the time to read all this.

Hello, suba79. Thank you for posting your question to the Apple Support Communities. We understand the situation and how you are noticing that the items on your iPhone’s display appear to be smaller than you would expect. We’re happy to look into this with you to find out what could be causing this.

We understand that you have done some extensive troubleshooting on your own already and we have some more suggestions that we think may help you.

Depending on your iPhone model, you may have access to the Display Zoom feature. When enabled, this feature would display larger onscreen controls and icons. You can toggle this option in the Settings app.

Go to: Settings > Display & Brightness > View, to turn on Display Zoom.

I also have a similar issue, but with the different app and in iPhone 8. when I open more than 3 apps, usually they close automatically another app that I didn't use, but now they still open then make my phone very hot, and the battery decrease so fast. and the most important issue is when i dont use the phone when i sleep, usually the battery didn't decrease that much just between 1-5% per night, but now even i dont use it, the battery decrease from 98% into 30% even the battery health still same as before. this happen after i upgrade into iOS 15.1, i don't know how to fix it
