Guys, at this time, I am talking about my second iPhone 13 Pro Max which exhibit red tint on the left side of the phone. This issue seem to be visible on the white and gray background, especially under 50% brightness.

I am not quite sure, if I received the defective iPhone or everyone face the similar issue.

Condition to test:

Application: Apple Note App

Brightness: under 50% (Light mode)

you will notice a slight red tint either on the left or on the right

Apple will do nothing about it , OLED screens are great but it's one of the *** of this tech , We had the same issue on the 12 pro max.. it was a green tint that was way worse than this issue, i've ordered like 14 Iphone 12 Pro max on the apple store try to find the perfect one, same with the 13 pro max... it doesn't exist, some are worst , where the tint is full on all the screen estate, some are only on the left or / and right and not in the middle ... i stopped exchanging and returning after more than 10 attempts... the iPhone since the 11 with a perfect screen or the Galaxy with a perfect screen doesn't pretty much exist. and most of us are Paying the mobiles for 1700 euros so we expect a perfect phone... but they are not perfect cos the tech isn't . check on the internet how OLED displays are made and you will understand. that is why Apple or Others manufacturers will not do anything about the tint issue.. ( i've enabled color correction on mine to mitigate the issue , i lost a bit of brightness but it's okay ) i do not see the issue anymore.

I too have see this issue. I had it really bad on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Very red and blushed in the upper right hand corner, and highly visible when using the phone in bed at night with the lights off. I went to the apple store yesterday and they replaced the display. The new display is much better, however the issue is definitely still there, and can be noticed on the left hand side on this display. It seems to me like most of these iPhones must be exhibiting this behaviour to some degree, and to get one with a completely uniform display is rare. Apple should be doing better with this, and ensuring these poor displays don't get through QC.

That is insane! Just like you, i had a frame issue. I worked in Manufacturing before so I know what caused the stainless steel to have this rainbow purple color. The heat and cooling process during molding in the factory. I got it replaced and the 2nd phone had the red tint on half right side of the screen. They wouldn't replace the second one so they offered to replace the screen. Same issue. It's not the OLED panel at all since exchanging the screen didn't change a thing. Same red tint pattern. Called apple again and they won't replace it and offered to repair it one more time. Fed up I purchased 3 iPhone 13 Pro Max and tested all 3. All have the red tint but one was nearly perfect, only had the red tint on the bottom left corner and barely noticeable, So I kept that. The other 2 had it bad and also had some stainless steel frame issues at the same spot which could mean apple can easily identify what is causing these issues. Now I have to return 2 13PM before the 14 day period and sell the one they repaired. What sucks is that I already have AppleCare on it. This Is my last iPhone. Apple no longer has a quality control department apparently.

last year i had to order back to back more than 10 12 pro max cos of the screen issue we know and Apple still didn't addressed it , and i kept the "better looking one" despite all models exhibited the same issue, and now this, i didn't knew it was widespread, at first i didn't noticed it, until i lowered my brightness between 0 and 30% specially on a white photo or gray one , i have 4 iPhones 13 pro max with me and all of them have this red tint in different part of the display , one of them is the worse of the bunch , i've already returned 2 iPhone 13 pro max, i have 4 now and i will return them, i have placed 3 other orders hoping to get one near perfect ... but if it's like the 12 pro max, the chances are like 5%..

this is not acceptable from a brand like Apple that i really love, having to buy and send back iPhones is a pain. cos i buy a screen protector for each one to protect it.

yes 100% agree, it is not normal to have such low display QC since the iPhone X and the shift to OLED , here is 2 pictures , one of the Grey wallpaper i use in photos in a dark room , and if i put the brightness to the minimum possible with auto brightness on or off , this is what happen , the second photo is the 4 iPhone aligned with the same grey wallpaper, i've kept the second one , were the red tint is appearing only on the right side , but i've ordered 4 more iPhones... like last year in order to hope that one will be at least uniform .

I am also having this same issue this is my

second iPhone 13 pro max and from what I’ve seen they all seem to have this issue, restarting the phone does not fix this issue I’ve done that 3 times now and it has not worked, calling Apple support will also not fix this Issue, why doesn’t Apple just admit that this is an issue and oversight on their part!! This is unacceptable considering how much these phones cost, if this is a software issue then Apple needs to address this ASAP through a software update and if its a hardware issue then Apple needs to do a recall on these bad calibrated iPhones and issue paying customers a proper calibrated iPhone with no tinting issues after all thats what our top dollar is paying for isn’t it?

I have exactly the same issue. Apple Store members cannot see it underneath their bright spotlights. It has something to do with promotion for sure! If you take a screenshot the tint disappears. When you go from an app to the screenshot you can see the tint on the screenshot for about 2seconds and then disappears again. Basically every app supporting dark mode. I tested with discord and YouTube.

I have this exact same issue as well!

I have gone through several 13 pro and Pro Max's phones, and they all have a slight red/pink hue, towards the left side of the phone, if you view it off angle from the bottom right side.

Not sure why this is happening, or if this is inherent in the OLED technology of this 13 series. I know that with OLED there is some color shift to be expected, but this red color shift seems way too off putting.

I've given up on trying to play the OLED screen lottery with this years phones. I'll just cross my fingers and hope that Apple becomes aware of this issue, addresses it, and does not repeat it with the 14 series.
