I updated my new mac book air yesterday and cant see the new safari

New as in some More than Safari 15.1.
That version was bundled into Monterey and nothing new since.

Apple did not make a new update of Safari for the initial public. Monterey. The Safari version in Monterey is the same as the last update of Saari in Big Sur.
But mine is same as big sur exactly the same

FWIW, Safari 15.1 first appeared in the Monterey betas back in June. It is the current version. Apple has since released Safari 15.1 for Big Sur and Catalina.
No new safari on macOS Monterey
