iCloud+ authentification DKIM problem with Custom domain

Hi,

I have configured a custom domain following Apple guidelines (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT212524). Everything works fine, except DKIM authentication did not work. I have checked with many mail testers solutions on the internet.


I have dug a little bit more :

  • When I use icloud.com, my email is perfectly authenticated with DKIM
  • When I use iOS 15 mail app or Monterey Mail App, DKIM doesn't work


Mail app for both Monterey and iOS 15 needs to be updated. Is it the case with beta versions ?

I sent a sample email from my custom domain regarding the lack of DKIM signature to the Apple iCloud admins and got a reply back about it:


Thank you for your message. The feature you are inquiring about is not yet available, but we are working on supporting DKIM signing for custom domains within iCloud Mail.

I could quibble with the term "feature" but I was glad to hear that they are aware of the problem and are working on fixing it.
