my wife is getting storage full messages at 4.7gb

When I log into iCloud (or check setting on my iPhone), I see I have about 85% of my available 2 TB of storage available. My wife is sharing this. Yet she is getting a "iCloud storage is almost full: you are using 4.7 of 5 GB" message.

What do I do to fix her account? Is it because she is using a slightly outdated, hand-me-down phone (iPhone 6) and iPad?

Hello Deej_flak,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We see you came here from the article about how to Upgrade to iCloud+, and your wife is seeing an alert that her iCloud storage is almost full. We'd like to see how we can help.

For clarification, you've been attempting to share your iCloud storage with her? If you're using 2 TB and she has 5 GB, it sounds like you may want to start by covering this resource to ensure the Family Sharing is set up: Share iCloud+ with your family

Feel free to reply back here if needed. Cheers.
