Safari tab closing automatically.

Seems to me the solution would be for Apple to fix the bug so people who like and want to use the tab group feature can continue doing so. Even with the bug, I will continue using tab groups because it helps me organize tabs and windows more effectively.

I have the same problem. I was thinking of going on safari when I learned that there are groups of tabs, but with such bugs, it's very difficult. Surprisingly, Apple does nothing about it and does not respond to requests.

It's maddening !!!!

A tab will close and then you hit CMD Z to undo and it opens up again, only to automatically close AGAIN. If you repeat then Safari goes nuts and starts closing all kinds of tabs.

I think HAL is slowly becoming psychotic. It's maddening!

Even after the latest update to macOS 12.15 Safari still closes tabs at will. How did this product pass quality test? And when you reopen the tabs with CMD + Z it opens and then immediately closes again.

And then the update doesn't even fix it. Apple must be using their products themselves right? How did they decide to release this version of Safari?

Same, Open tab in main-default tab group -> go to your created tab group -> click safari close button (red one) -> safari says that you have one opened tab, close it?

We are on Monterey 12.2 and it wasn't solve yet.

I agree with you. It’s a useful feature but it isn’t working. I’m always changing the browser. We are at 12.3 and it seems Apple isn’t worried about it.

How can I stop this from happening? I can't use my browser!

is a very convenient function, but because of this bug it is very annoying - also in online translators like google it even cancels the written text few words back :(

Have the same problem. It's ridiculous for how long already. This renders the iCloud tabs totally unusable.

Please Apple, fix this problem in the next update. It’s frustrating try to use a great feature, but without working it is useless.

OMG so many with the same stupid bug. Using Safari tab groups also. Latest software updates. Open a new tab and as soon as I interact with it, it suddenly closes. Aghhhh.

Anybody know if the last update solved the problem?
