Repair

Hi there I left my phone on the roof of my car today. And it was smashed to pieces. I brought it into a local phone repair shop and he fixed the screen but when trying to put in the code it was just frozen on the screen. He said it was something else inside the phone. I bought a new one off him but I’m just wondering do you think I could send it off to Apple with hopes of it being repaired ? I only bought it a year and a half ago.
