Message when trying to move a photo to messages or email: The operation couldn’t be completed. (PHAssetExportRequestErrorDomain error 3.)

MacBook Pro 8 GB memory, running Big Sur Version 11.6. What am I missing? I did delete some applications that I thought were superfluous earlier today to try and clear memory to upgrade my OS. Sure it's my error, but I don't know where I went wrong.

Just today, I confirmed this and narrowed it down to this bracket experimentally: WORKS when source folder size is 67.1MB or smaller, target file size is 65.7MB. FAILS when source folder size is 71.1MB; cannot create target file. I suspect that no one has been maintaining this utility at Apple for a long time. This also seems true of certain other MacOS utility programs such as the native Contacts app, which responds incredibly slowly past a certain database size and seems like no one has been responsible for updating and regression testing it for more than a decade. I use native apps when possible with the expectation that, unlike third-party apps which can come and go with the seasons, the native apps will always be available and will always be maintained and kept up to date with the changing environment and usage modes. The first of these two assumptions has held true in my experience but the assumption that they will always be maintained, regression tested and improved has not.

Mail Attachments won't open – hang in "downloading" Hello, I'm no longer able to download some attachments in Mail. The file says its "downloading..." (see image below), but I can't actually download or save it. I've tried forwarding the message to another account (Gmail) but there's no attachment to open. I've tried Rebuild but there's nothing that says rebuilding is going on in the background (is it?). This inability to download doesn't happen all the time. Someone sent me a jpg from their iPhone and couldn't open it (sent to my hotmail account). Likewise with this pdf (below) - no dice. But I was able to download a Word document sent from within the same (gmail) account. So it doesn't seem to be a hotmail/gmail issue. Any thoughts on what else I can try? I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012, using High Sierra

Mac System Data is large This question pops up alot. Can't find anything to help. Left Top Apple Icon -> About This Mac -> Storage. Shows System Data at 325 GB. I've tried alot of things to reduce the storage on my HD. Gained some disk space back but the System Data has not budge at all. Where's what I've done: Removed some applications, including Xcode Move my iOS backups to an external drive Cleaned up my Download folder of old *.dmg, *.pkg, *.zip and other larger files. I always keep my ~/Libraries/Application Support, Logs, Caches, clean, Rebooted into Safe Mode. Took a look at Storage, and rebooted in normal node. Delete local versions of timemachine backup via 'tmutil listlocalsnapshotdates and deletelocalsnapshotdates. The free version of Clean MyMac X didn't do much except save me 5 GB. Have been trying to upgrade xCode for months now, no success. In the meantime the OS has been updated. I aways upgrade to the latest OS on the day it releases or maybe 1 week at the most. I think I sudden realize my 512 GB HD has alot of free space to little. Thought it was videos and music. But I moved those to my external drive. Any one got any concrete ideas and what can I try? We recommend that you test the issue while in safe mode. Starting in safe mode allows your Mac to run certain checks, remove caches, and prevent login items from automatically launching. I am not sure how it happened but all's well now. Possibly just the restart did it. Regardless, I am saving the recommended test in the event I need to access it again. Thank you for the help!
