where has photostream gone??

I just got an m1 iMac ... and I can't find photo stream anywhere.

if I take a pic on my iPhone ... for example ... it won't show up on my iMac photo stream ... there is no iMac photo stream any More that I can find (although pics shows on my iphone's photo stream).

any thoughts.

somethings wrong here ... handling photos shud not be such a complicated task.

My Photo Stream is ancient and not really useful, when using a current iPhone model. My PhotonStream has never been updated to support Live Photos or videos at all. Users with a new Apple I ad cannot even activate it at all, it is yesterday’s snow. Either download the photos and videos manually from your iPhone, or use iCloud Photos. Mixing My Photostream with other methods of syncing will just make working with your photos more complicated and may create lots of duplicates.
