Apple ID says it is locked

Hello!

I was trying to update an app on my phone. When it took me to App Store it had me enter my Apple ID password. I did. It then said that my Apple ID has been locked for security reasons. I don’t know what this means. It had me try to “unlock my account” by entering my password again. But It then said that my Apple ID is not valid or supported. I don’t know what to do. But I can’t get back into that app until I update and I’m not sure what’s making my Id not valid? Any assistance would be wonderful!

Read the support article "If your Apple ID is locked or disabled"; it has solutions for two frequently encountered reasons for an account to be disabled/locked. Click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT204106

You appear to have been using multiple accounts on that device and were probably trying to use the wrong one to sign in this time.

Quick update. I just had something odd pop up on my phone. It wanted me to enter the password for the old Apple ID I had on this phone. Which is very odd to me that it would ask for that. I clicked cancel and did not proceed because I was afraid it would mess up my apps! What do I do? What does it mean when it says to restore apps?
