Guided access screen lock not working

Hi,

After iPadOS 15.1 guided access screen locking not working, the screen won’t turn off. It’s a bug, or feature? I tested it on iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro 12,9 and test was failed on all devices.

Hi SnickZ,

Thx for your guide.

I used this function too before 15.1, and that was worked well.

I have an iPad, i start Home app. I started the guided access. I turned off the screen (wake/sleep button). I have a motion sensor, whitch create a notification. In this case, the ipad wake up, show the Home app, after using (2 minutes) going to sleep the display.

This was a right operation. After iPadOS 15.1 not go to sleep. I think, this is a bug.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community Tamas,

We understand you're having issues locking the screen while using Guided Access. With Guided Access, you can set the screen to lock automatically while a Guided Access session is active.

To clarify, is it not locking automatically at the duration you've set? The following page provides additional information: Use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If you're referring to locking the screen using Assistive Touch, you can learn how to add the option to the menu, here: Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps!
