Hi, I've got an elderly Imac running Catalina. I would like to install Logic Pro X on it. I have bought and installed it on my main Mac - a Mac Book Pro in the latest version, but would like to be able to run a version on the older Imac as well. Is it possible to get a version 10.5.0 of Logic Pro X?

You can run up to version 10.6.3 on Catalina.
If you setup and use an Apple ID on the older computer that has a licence you should be able to go to the App Store, your purchased and select Logic to Download. It *should* provide you with the proper version for Catalina.
If you specifically want 10.5 that may be a challenge.

I already tried what you suggests - logged onto my account and tried to download Logic Pro X, but was unable because the iMac isn't running Big Sur. I've previesly purchaced the latest version of Logic Pro X and installed it on my MacBook Pro and here it runs flawlessly. I'll try to read the thread you linked to - thanks. (I'm not given the ability to download a compatible version as the thread states. :-( )
