The elevation on my Apple Watch 6 stopped working. There are three dashes where the reading should be. I’ve tried restarting my watch, doing a hard reset, and I tried calibrating my watch (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204516). The software is up to date. Nothing has worked and I’m completely stumped.

Note: Compass won’t display elevation or coordinates if Location Services is turned off. To turn Location Services on or off, open the Settings app 
on your Apple Watch, tap Privacy, then tap Location Services.
To use true north rather than magnetic north, open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, tap Compass, then turn on Use True North.
Note: Compass can be affected by magnetic materials in some watch bands. See the Apple Support article Use the compass on Apple Watch.

I unpaired and then paired again and thought at first that it didn’t fix it, but the elevation started working after a few minutes. Thank you!!
Thanks for the response, but I’ve already tried all this and it didn’t work.
So your location Services is ON?
Try this then: unpair then pair again with your iPhone.
I was really hoping to not have to do this. Will I lose information? Will I have to set up Apple Pay again?
The unpairing will actually make a Watch backup on your iPhone, so it's good.
The Apple Pay is easy to setup again if needed.
