Very slow Wi-Fi internet after Monterey 12.0.1 update

I had normal, fast speeds on Big Sur OS, but when I updated my early 2015 MBP to Monterey 12.0.1 everything online has come to a halt. I compared with my other MBP early 2020 (on Catalina), and the MacBook Pro on Monterey is getting SIGNIFICANTLY lower speeds than my Catalina MBP. Why would this be happening after new OS update?

@HighTechDad - I'm gonna give this a shot! Hope they can confirm their team is aware of the issue and investigating.

@AndreGB - That's great news, but still a bummer that it's not performing as expected. Appreciate the updates from your tests!

Odd fix, but seems to work. All other devices in the house work fine, except for my macbook pro M1 (monterey 12.1). After editing the location suggested by Kahantext, it seems to work. Before making that change, rebooting seemed to help, but rebooting multiple times per day was pretty tedious.

@yslas7 - Yikes. Okay I'm gonna give this a shot. Seems ridiculous, but I'll upgrade again to Monterey this next week and try these steps out to fix things. Hopefully WiFi performance and range are back to normal. Will report back!

Also noticing the Wi-Fi strength (bars) is lower on Monterey laptop.

1/3 wifi strength on Monterey laptop
Full wifi strength on Catalina laptop

How did you roll back? It's been a week for me so I'm hesitant to use Time Machine.

Well, Apple has just released a 12.1 update. I'm updating it and I'll let you know if it improves my situation.

I just followed the directions in the OSX daily link verbatim and nothing worked until step 5. Speeds back up to where they belong! I would definitely follow exactly as directed...
