Consistent iPad mini 6 capacitive touch issue, does it happen on other models?
I have a new iPad mini 6 and ever since I got it, the corners of the screen are unresponsive to taps it's incredibly consistent. I've included an image I created by tapping around the edges to find the dead zones. I went into an apple store and they were unable to help, in fact it was happening on every iPad mini 6 on display and on the tech's iPad that they were using. Apps I tested: drawing in Notes, drawing in Procreate, double tapping in Maps to zoom, various games, trying to close adverts.
The corners aren't really dead, it's only to tapping as I can draw into the corner with my finger but drawing out of the corner triggers the corner gestures.
This does not happen with my 12.9" iPad Pro with the latest iOS (15.1) and the apple pencil works with taps in the corner of my mini no issue, this is only a capacitive issue, I don't always have my pencil with me so this is constantly a problem. My roommate just got a new iPad Air and it didn't happen on her device.
What other models/years of iPad are people seeing this issue with?
