SIM Card problems @ unhelpful advisors.

My SIM card doesn’t work on my new iPhone. I’ve been contacting advisors through chats and calls, I talked to more than 6 in chats and had two calls with senior advisors now.

It’s the worst experience for me!

They took me through steps that didn’t solve the problem and finally they LITERALLY STARTED ENDING CALLS AND CHATS!!!! They just did it all of a sudden after giving positive sentences about how they’re gonna solve the problem and stuff! What’s wrong!? Why are they escaping and lying!? I’m sick of this.

No SIM card works on my iPhone and no Advisor is helping. There’s no contact number for apple in my country. What do I do next??

If the iPhone is carrier-locked (to a carrier other than the one you plan to use), then you will have to discuss this with the carrier holding the lock. A carrier-locked iPhone can only use a SIM or eSIM of the carrier holding the lock, and from no other carriers.

How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier - Apple Support

Carrier-locked iPhone routinely become available on the used market, and the buyer can end up assuming the remainder of the seller’s cellular plan. If the carrier holding the lock allows that, and will then authorize an unlock.

If this is a hardware issue, and with no local Apple or Apple authorized reseller presence, you will best transfer the iPhone to the country of purchase.

If I am to infer that you’re located in an embargoed country, this whole case isn’t headed anywhere easy.

If the iPhone is carrier locked, you will have to ask the carrier to clear the lock.

With no Apple activity in your country, and if not the carrier lock, then you’re left to transfer the iPhone back to the country or region where it was purchased, and to get it looked at and serviced.

If you’re in a country embargoed by the US, then commercial activities of US entities are restricted.

Thank you for your response.

I actually restarted the phone. Reset network settings. ios is up to date. Tried same SIM card in another device and it worked just fine. Tried another SIM card in my iPhone and it didn’t work. I contacted my carrier provider and everything is fine from their end.. I actually tried everything!

I believe it’s mostly a hardware problem..!
