Arrow keys on the magic keyboard not working on netflix or youtube I have the 2020 iPad Pro 12.9 4th gen

I had the same problem with the smart folio keyboard on my iPad Pro 11 inch, the way I Resolved this was disconnect my iPad Pro from the Folio Smart Keyboard wipe down the contacts powerdown the iPad them power back up the iPad then unlock ipad and then connect your folio Smart Keyboard, after doing this both arrows keys started working for fast forward and rewind on YouTube and Netflix.

Now workin for me. What I did... read thru many of these comments, then:

• I updated to the most recent version (iPadOS 15.1)
• removed iPad from Magic Keyboard
• restarted iPad
• attached to Magic Keyboard
• launched YouTube and tested

Still not workin in Netflix

i have the same problem on the same device. it’s very annoying. if i go to youtube using the safari, arrows work same as the macbook or any other pc. Apps have an issue.(edit new youtube update fixed this issue. no news on netflix yet)

Have you been able to try disconnecting the keyboard, wipe off any debris on the iPad and keyboard, and then re-connect them?

I have the same issues, with most video apps – YouTube, CuriosityStream, HBO Max, NRK TV (Norwegian broadcasting). Curiously, Nebula still works with the keyboard.

It’s obvious that it’s not a hardware issue. Apple will be well aware of it (otherwise I’d be really worried) but choose to remain silent so far. A google search will prove the problem widespread. Examples:

I’m having issues with all of the same programs everyone else is mentioning, but it’s not just video apps that the arrow keys aren’t working, it’s ALL artist programs too. I can’t use Procreate, CSP, Photoshop, ANYTHING. This is hurting artists’ workflow. I shouldn’t need another separate keyboard to nudge something just a smidge with is a FUNDAMENTAL tool. Worked fine on iOS 14.9, but immediately after I updated to iOS 15 the arrow keys no longer worked. Apple you need to push out an update with a fix for this soon PLEASE. Please don’t be like google with how they never actually read feedback when there are fundamental issues that are effecting multitudes of users with no response or fix for them. Please, I need my arrow keys.

Same here. I’ve had this issue on my iPad Pro (5th Gen) since I updated to iPadOS 15. Arrow keys on Magic Keyboard don’t function on Netflix or YouTube apps. They work in Safari. Tried restarting iPad, reinstalling apps, and cleaning the magic keyboard connector. None have helped.

EDIT: YouTube has since fixed it with an update. Netflix hasn’t.

Mine too, they worked perfectly fine until the latest iPad iOS update (15.1). The arrow keys still work to skip while watching movies on prime video, but they no longer work for Netflix and Disney+, it’s so frustrating.

@Eric_G1 - This issue is ongoing and widespread. Do you have any insight into whether Apple has acknowledged the issue and if there is any ETA on a resolution?

Same here, arrow key doesn’t work in numbers. Haven’t check on any other apps

I also have the same problem , i tried all selution but they didn’t work , I think the problem not from us , but from Apple system , if any Apple employee see this letter , please solve this annoying selution , I cannot wait more for solving this problem

Update Facebook to 346 and you won't need the keyboard access thing any more.
