Macbook Air M1 Facetime Camera

Hello. I have an issue with my newly bought Macbook Air (2020). The first day I bought it (yesterday, 2021-11-06) I saw that the camera was blurry. I tried to see how the camera looks in other apps than Facetime such as Discord, Zoom, Photobooth and Messenger, but same results. I went to sleep, and the day after that (with a brighter environment), I tried the camera again, and it was still the same. The camera quality is definetely not 720p, and very not HD. I have had an Macbook Air 2013, and that camera had a much better quality than this new one.

I just bought the Macbook, is there anything I can do to the camera quality?

Hello ShahedJ,

From your post it appear you are having concerns over the camera quality on your MacBook Air.

According to the specifications of both MacBook Air models from 2020, the camera should be 720p.

Take a look at the suggestion outlined here on how to improve the image quality: Use the built-in camera on Mac - Apple Support

If you continue to have a concern that the camera is not performing as it should, we would recommend taking it back to the place of purchase and having it looked at.

Have a good day.
