Mac Battery On Hold

I recently just picked up the new MacBook Pro and often times I find myself sitting here for prolonged periods of time while plugged in.

I would rather not keep unplugging and plugging my Mac in but want to keep the battery at a healthy level of charge.

I have noticed sometimes MacOS will put your battery "on hold" - but is there anyway to force this feature?

It seems to only activate if you rarely unplug your MacBook.

Thanks for any responses in advance.

No.

You do not need to micro-manage your battery, let the software do it for you

If you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on battery.

This is how you prolong your batteries working life/ health and reduce cycle count.
