Recover emails using Time Machine

I accidentally permanently deleted an email that I need to recover. It is not an iCloud account but my own domain address. It has been a while since I have used Time Machine to recover any files BUT you used to be able to load Time Machine and recover deleted email from a date before it was deleted. However, I do not see this functionality anymore in Monterey OS. Is this wonderful feature gone and am I SOL or what am I missing?

On the Mac go to Users>your user name>Library>Mail V9>folder with a long alphanumeric name>The specific inbox (like [Gmail].mbox)>All Mail.mbox>another long alphanumeric named folder>Data> a number>Message and the messages will be displayed with numbers like 10047.emix.

Here is screenshot that shows location on my Mac

While I had Catalina installed in my wife's computer we were looking to set up Time Machine to back her computer up. She saves hundreds of emails for future reference and they are critically important to her. We discovered that Time Machine does NOT save email messages. Our solution was to purchase and install the back up app Carbon Copy Cloner. It does those back ups and it also has features not found in Time Machine.
