Display arrangement changes after sleep.

I attach two external displays to my MBPro. Whenever the computer goes to sleep and wakes up again, the arrangement of the displays changes, seemingly quite randomly, so I lose my cursor as I move from one screen to another.

Details:

2021 MBPro, M1Pro CPU. Running iOS 12.0.1. Two LG Ultrafine 5k monitors, connected individually to the two Thunderbolt ports on the left of the laptop, operating as extended displays, with the laptop screen operating as the main display.

Odd observations:

Although the "arrangement" of the displays (in System Preferences) changes randomly each time the computer wakes up, the content of the physical displays does not.

Any ideas on how to get the display arrangement to "stick"? It is getting very annoying to have to reset it every time the computer wakes up.
