Download iPhone/iPad Apps to MacBook Pro

I am having difficulties with downloading apps that I previously purchased on my iPhone and iPad.

I clicked the "Automatically download apps purchased on other devices" in App Store Preferences but nothing has downloaded.

What additional actions do I have to take to have those apps downloaded to my Mac?

Thanks.

Platform Issue:

The macOS, the iOS and the iPadOS are all completely different platforms. So, if you want to use an app on both types of platforms, either:

  • Purchase the app once more for the correct platform
  • Purchase an app made for multiple platform types (i.e. software suites).
