2021 M1 MacMini will not wake up

I have a new MacMini (RAM 8gb, SSD 250gb) connected to a Dell monitor with HDMI cable after an extended period, especially overnight, nothing will wake it up.

I use a USB apple keyboard and a bluetooth apple trackpad. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable but it still will not wake up. So, I have to use the power button to shut it down and then restart.

A number of forums, including this one, indicate this is quite a common problem. My OS is fully up to date (11.6.1). Apple., please will you fix this issue and make sure the current OS works properly before coming out with new ones.

If anybody has found the solution for this issue I would be glad to know what it is?

Disable Sleep, it’s unnecessary on later Macs. Check “Prevent…” in Energy Preferences and uncheck everything else. You can leave the display off time as is, unrelated to Sleep.
