Itunes overriding iPod

Hi. i have this annoying feature - when I make changes to my iPod on the go my iTunes overwrites them when I connect the iPod to the computer.

Example:

I add an album to my iPod. Listen to it on the train, I like a couple of songs and delete eight. When I connect the iPod to the computer it adds all eight songs back to the iPod.

I have a playlist of ten songs I listen to in the gym. I add a couple more while in the gym. When I connect my iPod to the computer next time, it removes the added songs from the playlist.

Any way around this?

Hello MaxMaks,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! We understand you want to stop syncing the music on your iPod and computer. We're happy to assist you with this.

iTunes on your computer will make sure that the only songs on your device are those contained in the iTunes Library. To keep this from happening, scroll down to “Options” in iTunes and make sure that "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected” is turned off: Sync music between your Mac and iPhone or iPad. This will keep the songs added on your iPod from being removed, and give you the time to add any new music to your iTunes Music Library.

Best Regards.
