The APPLE HDD ST1000MO24 indicates the computer has a Hard Disk installed, that is where all of your data is stored. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE also ensure you backup the computer using Time Machine prior to getting rid of it.
I'm trying to follow the steps but since I don't know what this is, I don't know if I should delete it or why. I did delete the main Macintosh HD already. Then this still appears on the side bar. And when I click to erase it I am being asked about "format" and "scheme" designations. I have no idea what these mean or whether I should change the settings before clicking on "delete'"
Yes, I do have a Time Machine with everything backed up. So is the answer to erase this APPLE HDD ST etc?
