As of today, my Safari on all of my IOS devices is totally non functional.

As stated, my Safari browser is non functional on both of my IOS devices. One device is an iphone 13 pro max and the other device is the latest version of the IPAD PRO MAX 13 “.

I have deleted Safari as an app, then in trying to re download it, I get an error message that says that it is already downloaded when it fact it is NOT.

Please advise. I am also hearing impaired.

Best,

Erik

It is not possible to delete Safari as an app. So the message that it is already downloaded is correct. You can find it in the App Library if you removed its icon from the Home screen.

Does the problem occur on both cellular data (with Wi-Fi turned off) and on Wi-Fi? If it is only on Wi-Fi the problem is your router, not your phones.

Can you describe what you mean by “non-functional”? Do you mean it won’t open, or it won’t display pages?

Does it display an error message when you try?

Have you tried going to Settings/Safari and tapping Clear History & Website Data?

Do you use a VPN connection?

Having Safari become unusable on two different devices which are effectively both still brand new suggests some common factor we need to find. I'll risk a few guesses to reduce the places you need to look.

Bug in Safari - possible but unlikely because the whole world is not screaming.

Bug in device OS - very unlikely to have the same bug in 2 different software systems, and everyone else would see the same problem.

Your settings for Safari - possible but you should know what you set so unlikely.

Now places which might get a result...

Are your devices work issue or tied to anything like work emails which could give an admin the right to block a browser?

Exactly what error messages do you see when you fail to get Safari working?
