Where is the optimal location for a FCPX library cache?
Should they be on the same disk as the library or is it a good idea to have them on the computer drive (SSD)?
I would keep the cache outside the library, in the same location as the library, on an SSD, either on the system or externally.
Trash it. That’s what it’s there for, outside the library, so it can be dumped at any time.

On the same token, when moving a library from my SSD “work drive” to an HDD for archive (once done with a project, etc.) is it wise to also move the cache with it or is it ok to just trash it?
As the number of projects grow, just trying to figure out how to economize hard drive real estate.
