When I call my mom's land line, the call cannot be completed. It used to work, but has stopped working. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Given the issue is only with your device, along with reaching out to your carrier, we'd recommend ensuring she hasn't accidentally blocked your number somehow, you may need her telephone providers assistance for that. While there have been a number of iOS updates, none of them would affect you being able to contact a landline.

Also to confirm, what is the message you hear when trying to connect the call? Does it give any specific error?

• Do you know if other numbers have issues contacting that landline? Particularly other cellular numbers? If so, this indicates an issue with the landline service, not your iPhone.
• Were you able to contact this number previously? If so, was there any change or update after which you no longer could contact the landline number?
• Have you reached out to your carrier?
