MacBook heating problems when sending photos from phone through AirDrop

It just happened today, when sending a photo to my Macbook Pro (2019 16” running Big Sur) from my iPhone (iPhone 12 Pro Max running IOS 15.2), via AirDrop, my macbook overheats and does not receive the photo, whereas using my old iPhone 7 Plus (running IOS 15.1) and send a photo via Airdrop with that (to my macbook) worked perfectly fine, so is this an Issue with my phone’s software? Or is it something else

If it has to do with the software;

1. Why is my 12 pro max running 15.2 even though its not out yet (I don’t recall installing IOS 15.2)

2. How do I fix this problem?

  1. You are right. iOS 15.2 is not a public release version at this time. It is a BETA version. Since you have it, there must be a Beta Profile installed on your iPhone.
  2. iOS 15.1 is the official release at this time. Learn How to uninstall iOS beta software - Apple Support OR if that is too much of a hassle then continue with the Beta updates until the official version is released and then remove the Beta Profile by opening Settings ➔ General ➔ VPN & Device Management ➔ Configuration Profile: Delete the Beta Profile here.

Alright so I might’ve found the real issue, after some digging and fiddling, I noticed that whenever I go into the AirDrop tab in finder (on my macbook) it automatically sets to

“Allow me to be discovered by: No One”

after changing it to “everyone” or “contacts only” I can finally share photos really quick, the problem is, when exiting finder, AirDrop resets itself to discovered by: “No One”

How do I go about this Issue?

At some point in time, there was a Beta profile installed on your iPhone 12 Pro Max. Without the profile, there would not have been iOS 15.2 on your iPhone today. iOS 15.2 BETA was released almost 2 weeks ago. Did you just get this iPhone within that time frame? If YES, then perhaps it came with the iPhone if it was purchase secondhand.
