MacOS 12.0.1 E-mails not working, or not downloading privately. Also, I have 101 e-mails in Junk folder, but none are visible. Apple should rethink the code from last OS 11.n.n to 12.0.1. I do not have a VPN . At the moment e-mail is useless. Instructions on how to fix should be clearer, explain simply

See if there is anything here—
Open mail app select Mail>Preferences>Privacy disable “Protect Mail Activity” / “Hide IP address” / “Block all remote content” —content for the email will load automatically
if no insight or resolve
also known issues involving 3rd party anti-virus preventing iCloud mail from loading content in Apple Mail

This worked. You must stop and restart the e-mail client though
