FaceID greyed out, Problem with TrueDepth Camera detected

This happened about a week ago, I thought turning the faceId off would solve it but then it has been greyed out ever since. Tried restarting, upgraded to the latest OS, cleaned the cameras - the front camera works perfectly. No idea what to do, any suggestions?

Many thanks, tried this at the very beginning. It seems to me that maybe the TrueDepth Camera was turned off for safety or something and there is a way to reset it? I want to exhaust my options before I bring the product in for servicing.
