Scam transfer to a temporary wallet

I took a call today regarding a PPI claim from 2018 saying I have to collect £1250. He gave me a ID number a reference number and the telephone number 0161 818 8514 - I did not have ID on me so he is calling me tomorrow to set up a temporary wallet on my iphone so I can transfer the fund straight to my account - I am guessing this is a scam sounds very convincing though I just wondered about the security of wallets on Iphone is this a new way to scam people?
