Macbook Pro unstable bluetooth connection

Hello, Apple community. The bluetooth connection in my Macbook Pro has been very unstable (for the past month), I'm here for help.

When the unstability happens, the following conditions show up:

  1. My wireless keyboard would respond slower and would appear as if I long-pressed the key (if I'm typing at the moment)
  2. My wireless mouse would be very laggy and sometimes unresponding
  3. The music in my airpods would stop, or become very laggy


Also a few more information:

  • Each unstability typically lasts for around 10 seconds.
  • I don't think its caused by other devices' interference (physical interference. yet I'm not so sure), since I've had the airpods connected to my iPad and the same thing did not happen at the same place.
  • The Macbook Pro is on Monterey, but the problem appeared around a month ago when it was still on Big Sur


Is there any more information I should provide in order to help figuring out the issue?

What exact Mac is this ?


Can you verify this is Apple branded keyboard and mouse...(?)



To trouble shoot further you can:


—Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262


Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.


In Safe mode third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled, it removes malware, etc hampering smooth operation, however a reboot will put it back to normal mode.


This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.



—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account. 





Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

—all known to cause issues
