I am switching from an M1 Mac mini to a 2021 M1 MacBook Pro. My USB C Hub works just fine on the mini, but doesn't work with the MBP.

Again, works just fine with my Mac mini. I've tried just powering one thing at a time. No dice.

There is apparently a bug either in Monterey or in the softwAre that drives the M1Pro that prevents some POWERED USB hubs from working.
AH. Here I thought it was the hardware not the OS! I held off upgrading to Monterey on the mini since I knew I was getting my MBP. Lame. But thank you! You saved me the money I'd spend on a different hub (that's if they fix it, of course). Now do you have a time machine to save me the hours of troubleshooting I did today?
So no can do. Apparently not all powered hubs have the problem but I’ve seen discussion about it on MacRumors and other places. I never needed a hub since my previous machine still had all the ports.
