I am trying to update my iPhone se. I have freed up over 5G of storage space. Plugged my iPhone into charger and have WiFi available. It tells me I can update but there is nothing to click that allows my to begin downloading/installing.

The reason is right there in black and white. You need more free storage on your phone (not in iCloud).

Go to Settings/General/IPhone Storage to view your available storage on your phone.

The alternative is to update using your computer. Here are 2 links, choose the one for your computer.
