Is Face ID accessible for people with motor impairments?

I was born without wrists or hands and use my forearms to operate my iPhone 7 ****. I am due for an upgrade and am nervous about the idea of holding a phone between my arms while the front camera scans my face. Does anyone who has trouble holding onto a phone have experience with Face ID? Or could anyone give me an idea how precise the face scanning has to be?

There really shouldn't be any issue unless you believe the device would wobble too much when you hold it. Even then, the Face ID scan is very quick so it should still work just fine. You're not really aligning anything with precision, except during setup (and even that is very broad just to capture all angles of your face). You also still set a passcode on the device. I think you'll be fine. If you're near an Apple Store they might be able to walk you through set up and use on one of their devices first.
