Can you unredeem a gift card if you haven’t spent any of it?

I accidentally redeemed a gift card under the wrong Apple ID and now can only use it on certain devices. Can I put it back on the gift card? $0 was spent

Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put the card's balance back onto it.

No, it is assigned to an AppleID now so all you can do is spend it using that AppleID.
