Convert an HEIC image to JPG without losing ownership of the image

Hi there. I'm looking to convert an HEIC image I took on my iPhone to a JPG, but with all of the free services online I can find, you grant them unlimited access to use your image in exchange for the conversion. How can I convert the file while keep the rights to my image? Thanks!

Hi

Are you using the photos app on your mac? (This forum is specifically for that app)

If so, select the file in the photos app, and file>export. Choose jpg as the type.

Alternatively you can use the preview app to convert file formats.
