Unable to establish a route in Monterey.

I used to be able to establish a route using: sudo route -n add -net 192.168.1.xxx/24 192.168.86.xxx. Although I didn't utilize it with Big Sur, it was working fine prior that. The command appears to be accepted when entered on a terminal window, but the route/device can not be accessed via Safari. My account does have admin privileges.

Using the same IPs, I am able to establish the connection using the similar route command on a Windows machine (Windows 10), so I know my IPs are good.

Any/all suggestions appreciated.

I got it to work. I read on another site to disable the Private Relay (Preferences > Apple ID > Private Relay). As soon as I disabled it, all my routes began working again.
