Sound and Banner Notifications Not Working for Messages

On my iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 15.1, I have Notifications set for the Messages app, as you can see below:



Banners work for other apps. Sound works for getting telephone calls.


However, for Messages, Badges is working but Banners and Sounds are not.


I've tried:

  • Power cycling the iPhone
  • Upgrading iOS from 15.01 to 15.1
  • Turning Messages Notifications off and then on


What else can I try to get both Banner and Sound Notifications for Messages working?
