my serial number is not on bottom of apple tv, it will not turn on to get serial number and i do not have original box, how can i find serial number

it will not turn on and just has a flashing light, less than 2 years old

The device serial number would be listed on the bottom for all models. Scratches, wear and tear, may cause it to be less readable, though.

Alternatively, you may find the serial number listed for devices where you are signed in with your Apple ID account, on your other devices, or on the web.

What do you think you need the number for, if I may ask?
