Plugged in Sony CFExpress Type A card, using Sony MRW-G2 will not appear in finder or disk utility in new 2021 MacBook Pro 14" - anyone else had issues, or know solution? Pops right up in 2017 MacBook Pro

Today I picked up a new 14" MacBook Pro and I have the same issue. I can use an sd card on the mrw g2 with no issues but with a cf express card nothing happens.
I can only transfer files from the cf express card if I connect my camera directly to the MacBook.
I hope it gets resolved quickly because its a huge hassle.

Also, are you inserting the card directly into the SD slot or are you using an adapter? If you're using an adapter, the following resource could shed some light on the issue you're having as well.

Hello I'm also using this Sony MRW-G2 for my CF express A cards of my Camera.
And it doesn't mount :-(
It was working on my Mac Book Pro 2020 M1 but not on my new 2021 14 inch. ProMax.

This reply was not helpful. I’m not using SD card, or apple SD reader. It’s a Sony CFexpress Type A card & reader and still haven’t found a solution to make it work.
I am also having a problem with the Sony MRW-G2 on the new Macbook Pro 2021 14". Works on my older macbook pro. Has anyone resolved this?
I haven’t found a solution yet, and same here, it works perfectly on my 2017 MacBook Pro 13”
