Point # 1 - Does the >> Computer Qualify for the Monterey upgrade - If listed ok - if Not listed no amount of Manual Download will work.
Point # 2 - The premise is the computer does qualify. Restart in Safe Mode . Open the Terminal Application and use these command without Quotation marks.
" softwareupdate -l " - it will search for updates and should see the Monterey as available
" softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 12.0.1 " and it will pull down the Full Installer. If successful, it will place a New Application in Applications Folder called " Install Monterey ". It will Not Auto launch.
Point # 3 - Empty Space Requirements >> If upgrading from macOS Sierra or later, your Mac needs 26GB of available storage to upgrade. If upgrading from an earlier release, your Mac needs up to 44GB of available storage.
