Why is the Apple thingy twirling constantly on my iPad six generation since I upgraded to iOS 15? How do I get it to stop!?! I have tried using Siri to ask it a question as some have mentioned, but that hasn’t worked. It is very annoying and draining my battery. Any suggestions? Thank you for any help you may give to me.

I believe you may be describing the network activity indicator at top right of the screen.
Having updated your iPad, you would be well advised to perform a forced-restart of your iPad - as this will often resolve an isolated software issue:
