Monterey with Musescore
I just installed Monterey on my 2014 Mini and now Musescore will not load but stalls at 'initializing synthesizer and audio driver...' Suggestions? Thank you.

Have you contacted the app developer to see if they have an updated version that works with macOS Monterey yet? Ref: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support
According to the Roaring Apps site, no version (1, 2, or 3) of this app is known to work beyond macOS Big Sur on Intel-equipped Macs.

Reloading Big Sur from Monterey appears to be very challenging. From what I have found Musescore 3.6.2.5 does not run on Intel based Macs with Monterey. Does anyone know if Musescore 3.6.2.5 will run on M1 based Macs running Monterey?
I had to re-install Catalina, and from there - when I got time - Big Sur. Musescore 3.6.2.5 worked fine on both platforms. It looks very much like, it is Monterey that caused the problem. Just to keep up with my work as a music-teacher, I am now using my weekend days to re-install programs, soundfiles, and get cloud-service up and running. A small notice on this issue would have helped me to keep calm, and wait till the problem was solved.
Yes, I am running Monterey, currently 12.0.1
Musescore runs just fine on my new M1 based Mac but to run it the first time I had to download a program named Rosetta. Perhaps there is a similar solution for Intel based Macs running Monterey.
Yes, I am working with the Musescore support group and forwarded them the information you supplied above regarding the 'Roaring Apps' site. Thank you for your response.
Thank you. I hope the problem will be resolved with the 4.0 release - hopefully sooner - and that other Musescore users with Intel based Macs will not upgrade to Monterey until this is resolved.
Yes, I can confirm that Musescore works with my M1 Mac Mini and M1 MacBook Air.
Thank you. Are each running Monterey? If so maybe it is time for a new Mac.
