Updating Garageband from 6.0.5 in High Sierra

I can't update to the lastest version of Garageband because my Macbook is too old for Big Sur. I want to update to the newest version that High Sierra can handle, so a version somewhere between 6.0.5 and the latest version. But in the app store, I can't find any options to do this. I'm stuck with either my very old version or the new version I can't download. What should I do?
