Apple TV3 A1469 failed to activate after connecting to wifi. In addition, no matter when I log in to icloud or itunes store, the user name and password are displayed as invalid. Even if I add a 6-digit verification code to the password, it still prompts invalid. I suspect it is a problem with Apple's authentication server.
If you have an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) and two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, then you may be asked to type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field. Additionally, there is a time limit, after which the code becomes invalid.
Try this: First enter the characters of your password (do not submit yet), then manually request a new verification code, then append that code to the password (no spaces or other separating characters), and then submit. That should help you get passed the time limit.
Activation fails problem solved. Use third-party software to activate on PC or Mac.

However, I still cannot log in to my account, and I am still prompted with an invalid username or password.
Thanks for answering the questions. As I explained in the first question, my password contains the verification code, but this method is invalid. Also, no matter how I reset the device, it has not been activated. I still suspect that Apple's authentication server is malfunctioning.
